This is a really nice piece! I don’t really know what it is. It has a lid with no air space so it can’t be intended as a lantern, although I use the little electric candle in it and I think it looks great. I guess you could also put a candle in it with the lid off. What ever it is, it’s very heavy and very nice. It’s in good vintage condition.
