Awesome wonderfully DISTRESSED hickory striped railroad work wear jacket made by Lee. Lee was the leader in manufacturing America’s work wear. See Below to learn about the Lee Brand. This jacket is VERY rare, I can’t find another one like it anywhere (well except for the other one we have but it’s made by Headlight)

Very cool and distressed Lee jacket, sanfordized, union made, Lot 98-J.

Hickory stripe, liberty stripe, railroad engineer, prison yard, painters jacket, artist coat.

*some stains, holes, paint, and tears to the fabric (see all photos and ask me for me if you’d like before purchasing)

History of the Lee brand (Lee.com)

In 1889 Henry David Lee and four partners started the H.D. Lee Mercantile Company in Kansas. They started out packaging dry goods under the Lee name but in 1912 they noticed the possibility of producing volume overalls so they opened their first garment factory to produce overalls and work jackets, (like this one).

1913 Lee produces the iconic “Union-All’s”, coveralls designed to protect Clothing.

1921 The Buddy Lee Doll was introduced to promote Lee overalls.

1925 Working with Canton Mills from Canton, Georgia Lee developed the strongest, bluest denim in the market for durable work and western wear.

1927 Lee developed the zipper fly.

1930 Lee made the work wear work by America’s workforce. New slogan “The Jeans that Built America”
